Esurance Mobile

Here’s 3 user-requested features recently added to the Esurance Android app.

Home page

Previously, once a user logged in they would be taken to an overview page that was information-heavy. In testing, users consistently didn’t feel like they were “home” after returning from a task. Using Material standards, I created a homepage using a set of actionable cards linked to the most used areas of the app.

Insurance ID card

Usage data for the app surfaced that the most used feature was displaying the insurance ID card, which was buried several screens beneath login. The card is now surfaced immediately when launching the app for quick reference.

Saving accident info

The old process for entering accident info didn’t make it clear to customers that they could start a claim using info entered. I redesigned the flow, highlighting the ability to file a claim during the initial entry or when pulling up info entered earlier.
